Pre-Game Report: Bruins at Canadiens

By Bailey Sheahan

Heading back to the Bell Centre after two very intense games in Boston, you could make the case that Boston has the momentum. The Habs won game 1 in double overtime, yes, and were well on their way to taking the sweep in Boston up 3-1 with 9 minutes and change left in the third. But, a couple of lucky bounces off of Francis Bouillon (It is debated whether the second one actually hit him) later and it was tied, where Boston would end up winning 5-3. But it's highly, highly doubtful they are even thinking about game 2.

And this is about to get a WHOLE lot more intense. Let's ask Habs coach Michel Therrien about Claude Julien's comments on the refereeing in Montreal. "They (the Bruins) try to influence the refs. That's how they do things." You really can't disagree with that, either. But it has added fuel to the fire. Carey Price is only getting stronger with each game, as well. Essentially none of the goals have been his fault, they've either been put in off of his own player, tipped or shot through a screen at more than 100 km/h(Cough cough Boychuk). Michel Therrien has made a few adjustments to the lineup: Douglas Murray is believed to be coming in for Francis Bouillon and Travis Moen could be in if Rene Bourque is out with the flu (Update: Bourque is in. Prust is out). Michael Bournival is likely in.

Expect to see a lot of speed from the Canadiens tonight, even more than usual. The Bruins are going to have a hard time with the crowd noise, so they won't get much going. Enjoy the game!
